Northeast Data

B. Paid Holidays

Full-Time Employees

There are no federal or state laws that require employers to offer employees paid vacations or paid holidays for Full-Time employees. However, after a Full-Time employee's 90-day probationary period is fulfilled, Full time Northeast Data employees will observe 9 legal holidays and 1 floater holiday:

New Years Day Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Memorial Day
Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Eve Christmas Day New Years Eve
Floater Holiday

Effective July 01, 2019, Northeast Data will, issue, annually, a Holiday Observation Schedule for the 9-holidays. When a Holiday Falls on a Saturday or Sunday the holiday will be observed on a Friday or Monday.

Current 2025 Holiday Schedule

Northeast Data assumes all holidays will be taken per the yearly observation schedule. Any special circumstance / necessary changes to that, needs to be approved by senior management.

Note: Holiday pay will not be provided to part-time employees unless that is a specific enhancement to the part time employee's condition of employment. (Special notation on these cases will be documented in the employee's job description / benefit package signed by the employee / management and kept on file in the personnel file.)

If required, Full-Time employees must work on the day prior to and immediately following the observed holiday to receive holiday pay. Reasonable exceptions to this rule will be made; e.g.: with prior arrangement, vacation days may be used before and/or after the holiday. Hours worked during holidays will be paid at a rate of 2 times the employee's normal pay rate (for each hour worked) plus Holiday Pay. The pay factor is calculated as follows:

Standard Holiday Pay = (8 hours x Employees Regular Pay Rate) + (Number of Hours Worked x 2 x Employees Regular Pay Rate.)

Holiday hours are not considered into overtime hours worked. They will not be compensated as overtime payment. Holiday pay is not considered as working hours. Holidays cannot be taken or broken up into hours and must be taken in whole days. Holidays are payable up to a maximum of 8 hours regardless of the employee's normal working scheduled hours on a day to day basis.

Floater Holiday An employee can choose which work day during the year to use as a floater holiday. The day off will be provided at the employee's normal pay rate up to 8 hours. If the day is scheduled and the employee must work that day; the floater holiday will need to be rescheduled.

>Carry Over All Floater Holidays must be used in the year they were issued, Northeast Data will not compensate for unused Floater Holidays.

Separation from Employment - Employees separated from employment with Northeast Data will not be compensated for unused Floater Holidays.
